  1. 1. High School English teacher - Lusher Charter School (LCS) seeks a certified High School English teacher; experience preferred. LCS educates 1710 students from K-12, with about 500 students in 9-12. Our curriculum is rigorous and 100% of our students continue to postsecondary institutions across the country.   2. 2. High School Biology Teacher - Lusher Charter School seeks a certified High School Biology Teacher. The candidate should have experience in teaching lab based science.   3. 3.  College Counselor – Lusher Charter School (LCS) seeks an experienced college counselor to advise and place high school students in competitive colleges. Position available for the 2012-13 school year. LCS educates over 1700 students (K-12) and places 100% of our students in postsecondary institutions. LCS is located in uptown New Orleans and is an academically rigorous school with admission criteria. The high school offers a competitive academic curriculum and the opportunity to earn a Certificate of Artistry in dance, music, visual arts, theater, stagecraft, and media arts. Students can also choose to compete on one of our 26 sports teams. Lusher was founded in 1917 as a lower elementary school. The middle school was added in the 1990’s, and the high school in 2006. We currently educate about 500 high school students. Lusher graduates attend large and small universities across the United States. Lusher alumnae are at small liberal arts colleges, large state colleges, arts-based colleges, and Ivy League schools.     Requirements:
    BFA Dance , MFA or MA in Dance Education
    Minimum 3 years teaching experience in K-5  dance program.
    Performance and choreographic background experience with children's dance companies.
    Knowledge and background in Arts Integration across the curriculum.
    Professional experience performing, choreographing and collaborating with musicians and other artists.
