Lusher student published in Astronomical Journal

Lusher Charter School Senior Angela Massey stands by the poster she made during her research internship under Dr. Andrew A. West over the summer at Boston University. At the beginning of the semester, Angela was notified that the results of her research were being used in a paper of Metallicities of M-Dwarfs (small, dim stars that make up 70% of the milky way's population) written by Vanderbilt grad student Saurav Dhital and she was listed as a co-author on the paper. On December 9, Dhital's paper, "REFINED METALLICITY INDICES FOR M DWARFS USING THE SLoWPoKES CATALOG OF WIDE, LOW-MASS BINARIES" was accepted to the Astronomical Journal, making Angela a published scientist!
