Summer Arts Intensive (S.A.I)

Overview

Intensive summer arts classes are available in Dance, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Visual Arts, Media Arts, Creative Writing, Music and Theatrical Production, and Stagecraft for students entering 4th-12th grade.

Summer Arts Intensive classes emphasize process over product and creativity over imitation. In-depth training, knowledge, and experience characterize the intensive curriculum.

• Classes are held 4 weeks in June, from 9:00 - 3:00, M-F at Lusher's Fortier Campus:

• Each summer a brochure of class offerings is posted online
• Lusher students and non-Lusher students are eligible to register for classes
• Classes are taught by professional practicing artists
• A placement audition may be required to determine instructional level
• Students may select up to 4 classes per day for the four weeks
• Small class sizes
• Advanced classes for students with a specific discipline focus are taught in a double period block
